Gain insider knowledge from a local expert guide.
Take in the breathtaking coastal scenery of the Lofoten peaks.
Head out with an expert local guide on a fast rib boat to explore the rugged coastline near Svolvær, where towering cliffs and hidden inlets shelter a thriving population of sea eagles. With wingspans stretching over two metres, these majestic birds rule the skies. They are symbols of strength in Norse mythology and messengers between worlds. Keep your camera ready for an unforgettable encounter, though sightings are never guaranteed.
Practical information
Wear warm clothing and suitable footwear for a fast open boat; bring a hat and gloves. A mandatory flotation suit and goggles are provided, to be worn over your waterproof jacket and warm layers. The rib ride lasts approximately 1 hour on a local boat. Wildlife sightings expected but cannot be guaranteed. Not suitable for individuals with back problems, pregnant guests, or children under 8 years. Due to the high speeds of the RIBs, guests can expect water splashes even in calm weather and anyone taking part should expect to get wet at any time. You must be able to climb onto the boat and sit astride facing forward, for the duration of the tour. If choosing to take camera equipment, you should use proper protection against weather and sea-spray. Large camera lenses are difficult to manoeuvre on the RIBs, this might restrict your ability to turn and view any wildlife encountered. All personal belongings are the responsibility of the owner.
