Visit the Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve and take a relaxing trip down the river in an inflatable raft.

Enjoy a narrated drive up the Haines Highway and see historic Haines and Fort William H. Seward on the way.
See native wildlife such as moose and swans in the marshlands, along with eagles, bears, and wolves by the river.
Relax and take in the view as you float through the heart of the Bald Eagle Preserve.
Enjoy a complimentary picnic lunch before returning to Haines and joining your ship at the pier.

River rafting

Take a transfer to the Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve. After a safety talk and lifejacket fitting, your river float adventure begins. Float silently downstream on inflatable rafts and spot predators drawn by the salmon: eagles, bears, and maybe even wolves. Admire the preserve's incredible beauty, including towering mountains, hanging glaciers, and lush forests. After your float, you'll enjoy a picnic.
