Gems of the North
This scenic tour begins with a visit to Dettifoss, Europe's most powerful waterfall, which stands 144 feet high and is 328 feet wide. We'll also stop at Hljóðaklettar, the Whispering Cliffs, a bizarre-looking group of crater plugs and basalt columns with an eerie acoustic effect.
We'll continue on to horseshoe-shaped Ásbyrgi canyon. Said to be the footprint of Odin's eight-legged horse, vegetation abounds at the foot of the gigantic cliffs.
As we head back to Húsavik, we'll drive along the beautiful Tjörnes peninsula.

Remarks/requirements: Please dress according to the weather conditions and wear comfortable walking shoes. Kindly note that the order of the sites may vary.
Walking or Activity information: Involves physical activity on uneven surfaces and/or steep terrain. You may be expected to carry your own backpack and equipment. Not suitable for guests with limited mobility. 1km walk each way on gravel path to see Dettifoss Waterfall .
