Tlingit and petroglyphs

  • Remarks/requirements: We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes. Flash photography is restricted inside the museum. Bottled water and petroglyph rubbing souvenir are included.

  • Walking information: Walking to and from the shuttle to Chief Shakes Island, inside Wrangell Museum, and down a wheelchair accessible ramp to Petroglyph Beach viewing deck.

  • Wheelchair accessible: Chief Shakes Tribal House & Wrangell Museum are wheelchair accessible. Petroglyph Beach is not accessible by wheelchair. However, the observation deck is wheelchair accessible. Shuttle buses do not have wheelchair loading ramps.
