The Arctic Circle Trail stretches 160 km across West Greenland. From Sisimiut, you’ll drive a short distance to the trailhead before setting out on an 8 km guided hike.
The route crosses rocky tundra and wooden boardwalks over boggy ground, passing clear freshwater lakes, with wide views opening onto distant fjords and mountains along the way.
Practical information
Remarks/requirements: Dress for the weather and wear sturdy hiking shoes. Bring a water bottle, hiking poles, a small backpack, and mosquito net or insect repellent.
Walking or Activity information: Approx. 8 km over uneven terrain with inclines. The trail may be muddy and slippery in places.
