There are more than 10,000 waterfalls in Iceland due to the number of glaciers and the amount of rain and snow the country receives each year. One of the most impressive is the Godafoss Waterfall. Godafoss translates as "the waterfall of the gods". It may not be the country's largest, highest, or oldest waterfall, but its crystal blue hues and legends make it one of the most famous.

Literally meaning glacial river lagoon, Jokulsarlon Lagoon is an enormous glacial lake situated in Iceland’s southeastern corner.

Known as the land of ice and fire, Iceland is filled with more than 130 volcanoes, many of which are still active. Some stand tall among the mountains, while others lurk under giant glaciers. Iceland’s volcanic landscapes are as interesting and diverse as they come.

Arnarfjörður, Iceland, is part of the larger Westfjords region, located in the northwestern corner of the country. Visitors to the majestic Arnarfjörður can therefore enjoy the serenity and beauty of this naturally spectacular region without the crowds.

Considered by many as one of the most amazing natural wonders in the world, sea stacks have long attracted ramblers, climbers, geologists, and photographers with their mysterious locations, seemly solitary nature, and the millions of years they take to form. Luckily, it doesn’t take long to learn where you can see them and how a sea stack is formed.

Nestled in the remote Southern Ocean north of mainland Antarctica are South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands. The islands remain an official British territory and are most famous as polar explorer Ernest Shackleton’s final resting place.
